Institute of Computational Science and Engineering Seminar Series Schedule. School of Computing General interest Computational Science and Engineering seminar series
Institute of Geophysics and Tectonics (IGT) seminars Read more about the Instiute of Geophysics and Tectonics.  IGT Seminar series hosted by the IGT, this institute has a strong international profile in a wide range of disciplines comprising Applied Geophysics, Geodynamics, Geomagnetism, Petrophysics, Satellite Geodesy, Seismology, Structural Geology, Tectonophysics, Petrology, Geochemistry and Volcanology.
Institute of Applied Geoscience (IAG) seminars Read more about the Institute of Applied Goscience.  IAG Seminar series hosted by IAG. This group research fundamental geoscience with application and impact towards energy, environmental, industrial and infrastructural problems. The institute comprises of five core research groups: Sedimentology Group, Geomechanics, Engineering and Petrophysics Group, Basins and Structural Geology Group, Applied Geophysics Group and Ore Deposits Group.
Institute of Climate and Atmospheric Science (ICAS) seminars Internal seminars are at 2-3pm Mondays all year and external seminars are 2-3pm Tuesdays in term time. Read more about the Institute for Climate and Atmospheric Science.  ICAS External and internal seminars hosted by ICAS. ICAS conducts internationally leading research on the physical and chemical processes that govern the behaviour of the Earth's atmosphere and climate
Astrophysical and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics (AGFD) seminars Read more about the Astrophysical and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Research Group.  AGFD AGFD includes dynamics of the Earth’s atmosphere and oceans (waves, hydrodynamic instabilities and bifurcations, turbulence, data assimilation for numerical weather prediction), flows at the Earth’s surface (flooding, beach dynamics, porous media, glaciers), planetary and extrasolar planetary dynamics (the geodynamo, planetary dynamos, tidal interactions between planets and stars, planet formation), solar and stellar dynamics (dynamo theory, magnetohydrodynamic instabilities and turbulence), as well as galactic and extragalactic dynamics on the largest scales.
Applied Non Linear Dynamics seminars Read more about Applied Non Linear Dynamics research. School of Mathematics Areas range from core areas, such as chaos, global bifurcation theory and the role of symmetry, coupled oscillators and synchronisation, ergodic theory and stochastic dynamics, and pattern formation in fluid mechanics and reaction-diffusion systems, through to important areas of application, such as flame propagation, microfluidics, theoretical immunology and angiogenesis
Deep Earth Research Group (DERG) meetings Read more about Deep Earth Research Group. DERG Weekly meetings on a Friday in the School of Earth and Environment about Deep Earth Research, hosted by the Deep Earth Research Group
