Research Internships Summer 2024
The University of Leeds offers a range of paid research experience placements and internships across its seven Faculties each year to support the progression of underrepresented students to postgraduate research. This year’s internships are funded by the Yorkshire Consortium for Equity in Doctoral Education (YCEDE). This partnerships aims to address underrepresentation in postgraduate research, open to UK students from Black, Asian or other minoritised ethnic backgrounds.
The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Future Fluid Dynamics is offering the following YCEDE internship projects during summer 2024. The projects will take place over 210 hours, over a period of 6 weeks to 3 months.
- Multi-scale modelling of articular cartilage
- Bio-inspired nano/micro-structured materials for water harvesting applications
- It all begins with a kiss: the fluid mechanics of sample preparation for cryo-Electron Microscopy
- Laser-based flow measurement in a molten salt
If your application is successful, you will undertake a paid, independent research project supervised by academics at the University of Leeds. If you would like to apply for one of these projects, please complete the A2R Internship application form.
