Veronika Charpy

Background: I studied Mathematics and Physics at the University of Glasgow and graduated with BSc in June 2023. In summer 2022, I worked on a research project studying the role of surface tension in the propagation of viscous gravity currents.

Research Interests: I am primarily interested in mathematically oriented projects studying the fundamental aspects of fluid dynamics.

Why I chose the CDT in Fluid Dynamics: I was interested in pursuing a PhD in fluid dynamics and the CDT appealed to me by its focus on interdisciplinary collaboration. I also liked the opportunity to gain a better theoretical understanding of fluid dynamics and to have time to make an informed choice of my PhD project.
