Background: Mechanical Engineering

Research Interests: Cardiovascular Engineering, Patient Specific Models

Why I chose the CDT in Fluid Dynamics:  My research area of interest is the application of engineering principles to the human body, with the purpose of diagnosing or treating specific conditions or injuries, with particular interest in patient specific models to study and aid to the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. I believe the CDT in Fluid Dynamics will help me develop the skills I need to aid the advancement of technologies for early detection and disease progression, as well as assist with current surgical interventions. Besides the theoretical knowledge gained from the CDT, another aspect that attracted is the cohort based programme and the clear structure it provides.
