Background: I did my undergraduate degree in Physics at Sheffield Hallam University. During the final year I had a module on fluid dynamics and my dissertation focused on fluid dynamics too. I also did a placement at Diamond light source which exposed me to the process of carrying out my own research. After this I knew I wanted a career in research.
Research Interests: I am still open in terms of the specifics of my research, I find many areas of fluids interesting. Currently I like geophysical flows, however this could change over the coming months.
Why I chose the CDT in Fluid Dynamics: After finishing my final year I knew I wanted to do a PhD in fluid dynamics. I still didn’t know exactly which area of fluid dynamics as it is a broad subject. So, I chose the CDT as it offered me a year to explore the different areas of fluid dynamics before I choose a project for my PhD.
