NAG prize for best MSc performance 2022

Date

Congratulations to Emily Butler who was awarded the 2022 NAG prize for overall best performance in the MSc component of the CDT programme. Emily was announced the winner at the CDT Awards event on 7th December.

"I relished the initial opportunity to explore a wide range of fluid dynamics within the master's program. This allowed me to discover my interest in biological fluid dynamics, a topic which I delved deeper into with my project and discovery module. Looking back, I certainly learned the most from the MSc group project, which equipped me well for my current PhD research. My project involves creating a multi-scale model of the fluid-structure interaction within articular cartilage. I am excited to see where this venture takes me, hopefully further into a career within research!"
