Background: Graduated from the University of Leeds with integrated master's in mathematics (MMATH), during my masters year I undertook a project focused on the theory and implementation of pseudo-spectral and spectral element methods for solving partial differential equations. These methods are often applied within fluid dynamics, in areas where strong accuracy is required.

Research Interests: My main interests include the numerical modelling of turbulent, multi-phase (particle and polymer laden) flows and leveraging machine learning algorithms to enhance such simulations.

Why I chose the CDT in Fluid Dynamics: The CDT in Fluid dynamics appealed to me, due to the cohort based approach it offered. This allows for collaboration between people from different backgrounds and the sharing of knowledge. Also the training programme offered by this CDT allowed for additional upskilling and served as invaluable preparation for my PhD project.
