Background: I graduated from the University of Leeds with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a year in Industry. During my studies I focused on a mixture of applied and pure mathematics with a Dissertation studying future climate scenarios and impacts on hydrology in Niger. I have multiple years of experience developing software around optimisation, using Lindo API in C#, and prediction in the air quality and process engineering fields using Machine Learning toolkits alongside Finite Difference methods in Python and Ruby.
Research Interests: Climate and Air Quality with a focus on Prediction and Optimisation achieved using novel numerical and computational methods.
Why I chose the CDT in Fluid Dynamics: The CDT provides an excellent opportunity to utilise the tools that I have previously employed towards a singular goal. The mixture between taught content and research allows me to explore new avenues with ample support from a number of supervisors and colleagues.
