CDT Poster Event and CDT Thesis Twitter Conference 2018: Winners announced!

Over 120 students, academic staff and industry partners attended the EPSRC Centres for Doctoral Training (CDTs) Poster Event on the afternoon of Wednesday 24th May 2018 in the Parkinson Court. Students from the following five CDTs exhibited their MSc team project and PhD project posters:

  • Bioenergy
  • Fluid Dynamics
  • Integrated Tribology
  • Soft Matter
  • Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Medicine – Innovation in Medical & Biological Engineering

Prizes were awarded to:

  • Zahida Aslam for the best poster in Bioenergy and the best overall poster (judged by Prof Andrew Gouldson, Dean of Interdisciplinary Research)
  • Thomas Sykes for the best poster in Fluid Dynamics
  • Royce Copley, Ben Clarke, Abigail Wade and Alaaeddin Al Sheikh Omarfor the best poster in Integrated Tribology
  • Morfo Zemblya for the best poster in Soft Matter
  • Daniel White for the best poster in Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Medicine

Prizes were also awarded to winners of the CDT Thesis Twitter Conference which took place on Friday 18th May. John Ashcroft was awarded crowd favourite and Thomas Goodfellow was awarded overall winner. Both students are from the CDT in Fluid Dynamics.
