Background
I graduated with an MEng in Aerospace Engineering in July 2018 from Queen Mary University of London. My final year project focused primarily on high-speed aerodynamics and the study of sound where computational fluid dynamics (CFD) was the bulk of the study.
Research Interests
I am generally interested in multiple aspects of Fluid Dynamics and primarily want to focus on experimental and computational elements of Fluid Dynamics.
Why I chose the CDT in Fluid Dynamics
Although academia has always been my preferred career choice, the CDT in Fluid Dynamics appealed to me a lot more than a traditional PhD. This is due to its multidisciplinary approach and the idea of a cohort to support me through the different stages of a PhD, with researchers from a wide range of backgrounds.
Another aspect of the CDT that appeals to me is the vast links with industry which can help with my career plans after the PhD.
